Healthy Kidneys for All: A World Kidney Day Campaign

Purpose
To raise awareness and recognition of chronic kidney disease among individuals in the Dialysis Center, the Pediatric Nephrology Ward, the Outpatient Clinic of the M.S. Curie Clinical Emergency Hospital for Children, and the Dr. Nicolae Robanescu Neuropsychomotor Recovery Center, in Bucharest, Romania.

Materials

1. 50 T-shirts personalized with the event logo
2. 4 posters with messages to raise awareness and prevent chronic kidney disease
3. 500 flyers with messages for chronic kidney disease awareness and prevention
4. 1,000 balloons printed with the event logo
5. 500 pins customized with the event logo

Round Table – March 13
Discuss genetics in nephrology in the amphitheater of the Dr. Nicolae Robanescu Neuropsychomotor Recovery Center with medical staff.

Activity
A poster will be placed at the entrance of each department, and balloons will be displayed in all wards.
Children can draw their vision of a healthy and diseased kidney, and they will be awarded prizes.
Between 9:00 and 11:00, volunteers and the medical staff of the dialysis center and the Pediatric Nephrology Ward will wear personalized T-shirts and distribute flyers. They will provide additional information about screening and preventive measures for chronic kidney disease.
Diplomas will be given to volunteers and involved staff.
