World Kidney Day 2021 in Belarus.
In 2021, World Kidney Day is celebrated on 11 March.
This year theme is “Kidney Health for Everyone Everywhere: Living Well with Kidney Disease”. This has been done in order to both increase education and awareness about effective symptom management and patient empowerment, with the ultimate goal of encouraging life participation.
March 10, the Social and educational institution “INTERNATIONAL CENTER DONORSHIP DIALYSIS TRANSPLANTATION” in Brest, Belarus joined this worldwide action. The “Creative workshop” was organized at the Brest Regional Consultative Medical Centre.
The event was attended by the volunteers and the institution’s patients. Doctors, medical and administrative staff joined the action.
Medical staff and volunteers talked about the early diagnosis, which gives people time to manage the disease to prevent it worsening. Meaning they may never need either a life transforming transplant or dialysis treatment.
