We will be conducting a program with some fun-filled activities for
the patients and their families.
1. A puppet show: The puppeteer will be tutored to have a few kidney related dialogues between the puppets, highlighting how patients with chronic kidney diseases deal with issues like a high pill load, side effects of steroids etc in a positive way.
2.Painting program: We will be asking children from our outpatient department to paint kidney cartoons the way they think about them and to carry them for a competition on the Children’s Day out. The most informative three will be awarded a prize and the rest will receive a gift of appreciation.
3. A tattoo artist will be invited to paint tattoos on the children’s hands.
4. Talent show: children will be encouraged to perform any skill on the stage including, narrating a story or a poem, singing, playing a musical instrument etc.
5. A do it yourself (DIY) activity with the children in which they learn to up-cycle PET bottle caps and make a rocking-kidney toy….increase awareness about the shape of their kidneys
