Celebrating World Kidney Day

In honor of World Kidney Day 2025, we in Klinik Kesihatan Cheras Baru hosted an event to raise awareness about kidney health under the theme: “Are Your Kidneys, OK? Detect Early, Protect Kidney Health.” The event focused on the importance of early detection and prevention of kidney disease.

The day began with the display of a QR code, encouraging patients to assess their risk for kidney disease through an interactive, self-assessment tool. This was followed by a health talk from our Family Medicine Specialist, who highlighted the significance of recognizing risk factors and the need for early screening. Our pharmacy team also provided insights into how medications can affect kidney function.

An interactive quiz was held between the talks, encouraging patient participation and reinforcing key knowledge about kidney health. A health booth was also set up to provide general information and information on available screenings.

The event received positive feedback and strong engagement from our patients. We hope this initiative helps raise awareness of kidney health and encourages proactive screening to reduce the global prevalence of kidney disease.
