World Kidney Day is March 13th
Theme: Are Your Kidneys OK? Detect early, protect kidney health
It is estimated that 850 million people worldwide have chronic kidney disease (CKD) due to various causes. That means approximately one in ten adults has CKD.
The major risk factors for kidney disease are:
Diabetes
High blood pressure (hypertension)
Heart (cardiovascular) disease
Being overweight (obesity)
Family history of kidney disease

We are aiming at promoting awareness of chronic kidney disease, awareness of risk factors, early screening as well as knowledge of relevant resources.

We will be hosting a booth where we provide educational materials and resource information related to chronic kidney disease. Please join us for some fun, enjoy a snack and pick up some health tips, spin the wheel of kidney health, answer a question with the chance of winning a prize.
