“Im Dialog” – A Nursing Conference for Kidney Health and Patient Safety (World Kidney Day 2026) will take place at Erste Campus in  Vienna, Austria, on 6 March 2026, in the lead-up to World Kidney Day on 12 March 2026.

This event represents the first nursing-led kidney conference in Austria, developed in collaboration with international nursing and patient safety associations. The conference aims to strengthen professional dialogue, shared learning, and international collaboration in kidney health and nephrology nursing.

Activities involved
The conference will include:

Evidence-based educational sessions on kidney health, prevention of chronic kidney disease, and contemporary nephrology nursing practice
Patient safety focused presentations addressing key challenges in kidney and dialysis care, including safe clinical practices, infection prevention, vascular access safety, and quality improvement
Interactive “Im Dialog” discussion formats, encouraging open exchange between nurses and multidisciplinary healthcare professionals on real-world challenges and solutions
Networking and collaboration opportunities to foster sustainable connections between Austrian nurses and international partners, supporting future educational and patient safety initiatives.
