World Kidney Day

11 March 2010

CKD has become a great public haelth problem all over the world including South Asian Countries. India being the Second most Populous Country is no exception and due to the Sheer Number is likely to face the Huge Burdon of CKD as Both Diabetes and Hypertension are ,the two important Culprits are being detected and NOT pROPERLY TREATED .
Recently I have been encountring A good number opf Young CKDs ( Age 20-30) non Diabetic and Hypertensive presenting in Stage 4/5 CKD without any previous history Also many do not have a significant proteinuria .May be some unknown toxins are the culprit, or is it the low nephron number ?
