And the World Kidney Day contest winner is...

First of all, thank you for this very large participation!

We are grateful for having received so many creative proposals!

The jury has decided that the winner of this contest is:

Eda Sofia Correa, a 23 year old student from México City

In second position comes:

Ayse Onat, from the Turkish Kidney Foundation

In third position comes Amaia Sanchez Velasco, a 24 year old student from Madrid, Spain:


Congratulations also to the Eastrington Primary School, Eastrington England, and to Julie Hill for their outsanding participation!

The best drawing from this school was chosen and it is the one from Amy Hill, 7 years old!

All participants mentionned above will be contacted shortly about their reward!

Kidney Health New Zealand and staff from Auckland Renal Service had a stand at Pasifika, a festival celebrating the Pacific nations in New Zealand, more than 200,000 people attended the event, we were kept busy taking blood pressures and testing urine for protein, raising awareness about kidney disease to one of our at risk groups
