Dear Tashi,
We will be delited to help you because your objectives are the same as ours and we are facing similar problems in every country in the world. I have founded Diabetes Prevention and Kidney Care mainly to prevent diabetes and progression of diabetic renal disease. The population most affected are minorities who do not have resources and can not receive care from the system. What I would suggest is that you join my organization and I would join your group and work a partnership. I will help you write grant popossal and provide support to your group. I have sent you the invitation to join DPKC. Send me your Mission statement.

Dear Tashi,

I am glad to hear from you and I see you have done a lot by forming the support group. You need to be patient and work steady on your program. You need to decide what are the issues you want to change first. Do you want to do awareness campains to detect and treat early renal disease in diabetics? If so what would you want to do? Do you want to have flyers, radio or TV programs, do you want to talk to doctors in your country to have them participate? Do you want to educate people about medicines thara are effective and have them change their believes about herbal medicines? You do have a lot to do, but you should remenber that you can only do so much without losing focus and end up doing nothing and getting frustated. Please let me know if I can be of any help. Let us know your progress.

Thank you for getting in touch. I believe that the activities you can do to create awareness in your country about kidney disease, diabetes, and kidney donation, The particular charactersitics of the health care, along with beliefs on traditional medicine should have important effects the way Bhutan people feel about kidney disease. I will thing if you look at you social circle you can find ways to come together and promote healthy life style. Please tell us your thougths about health issues in your country.

Hi Tashi!
How are you faring in your efforts to establish a base from which to launch a World Kidney Day celebration in your country? Although my contributions to this highly significant endeavor are quite modest
in comparison to those of others, I delight in that I have been able to share with others my enthusiasm for knowledge -- particularly as it relates to study of our amazing kidneys -- as well as to enlighten those with whom I have contact of the near-miraculous tasks these magnificent and elegant organs do for us!
Kind regards,
Janice
