French President Nicolas Sarkozy supports World Kidney Day

I am so happy to have learned of this wonderfully exciting and informative network!

As a teacher, I cannot emphasize enough
the kidneys' leading role in homeostatic
regulation. How many are aware of the
kidneys' role in body temperature
regulation? That people take their kidneys
for granted is cliche!

I very much like your posted featuring a pair of horrified kidneys by the presence of diabetes!

Great to be friends! I think the new WKD website will be a great asset for all of us involved with the prevention of kidney disease and it's treatment. WKD is a success story from it's first beginnings now 4 years ago. My professional back ground is renal nutrition and live very close to the centre of London, UK
I am semi retired and currently am a volunteer working with the IFKF(education sub committee) and manage their inventory of educational publications. I looking forward to help where ever I can.
