World Kidney Day Events 2011 - University Hospital Aintree

This year we provided heart rate testing in addition to BP check up, urine testing and diabetes check up for hospital staff, visitors and also to the community. This year there were over 700 tests undertaken on over 200 individuals in Bootle Strand and over 350 tests were performed for 93 individuals in Olivia Thomas Suite at University Hospital Aintree.

Professor Derek Middleton from Royal Liverpool Immunology Department gave a talk on “Tissue Typing in Organ Transplantation” on the 10th March.

Dr Pandya, Consultant Nephrologist, gave a talk to patients on Cardiovascular Risk and Kidney Diseases on the 20th March.
