What do you think of the activities taking place in St. Lucia this year to commemorate this event?
Activities this year seem quite interesting especially with the idea of decentralized walk / march. It gives persons islandwide an opportunity to participate.

Greetings from DPKC to our friends the Precicians, we congratulate you for finding a way to bring people together in St. Lucia to manifest publicly their support for the World Kidney Day message. We feel that your message is even more significant because St. Lucia has shown that it cares for its people and wants to provide Universal Health Care. We understand that the prevalence of diabetes is about 8.00% and that you would want to keep it from going up. Please comment about the "Health Indicators" (Attached File). We need to work on diabetes prevention especially on females. SAINT LUCIA March 17, 2009
Health Indicators
The prevalence of diabetes is 8.1 percent of the population over 40, the prevalence of obesity is 6.6 percent for men and 34.7 percent for females. - Attachments:
