Nephrogenic diabetes insipidus?

Although much has already been discussed concerning the profoundly adverse affects of diabetes mellitus on kidney function (and rightly so!) I have not yet seen a discussion addressing the deleterious effects of nephrogenic diabetes insipidus?  Apart from the omnipresent specter of dehydration, what are the potentially adverse effects of nephrogenic diabetes insipidus on the kidneys?
