don't u think that many non-nephrologistsdon not really appreciate the impact of ckd and the value of eGFR and UACR, perhaps this year we should concentrate on CME campaigns to non-nephrologists and future doctors ie medical students

As an educator -- particularly of students either who aspire to enter the medical profession, or who are current practitioners -- I concur with your statement, and believe the kidneys to be the most underrated anatomical entity in the human body!

yes, sometimes on WKD while trying to raise awareness, we only talk to ourselves ie nephrologists, the medical profession perhaps apart fom cardiologists are totally dissociated from the "kidneys" and it may be best to concentrate with the students and younger doctrors from other specialties for a change
It is particularly sad that so many physicians prescribe medications for patients without first assaying renal clearance.
As 15th century physician, Paracelsus had said, "It is the dose that makes the poison"...
